WAVE TWO - YOUR GOAL AND YOUR THOUGHTS
Entering the wave state will require you to make lifestyle changes. Some of these changes will be difficult at first. One of the most important components of any health program is ensuring that you have a goal. If you have a goal, you can work towards achieving it and you will be more motivated to stay on track. This is the first question I ask people and it is probably the most critical. If you do not anchor your intentions in a goal your chances of success go down significantly. When it comes to the type of goal that you should set, I can tell you that if your goal is to lose a few pounds that is probably not going to be enough for you to make permanent lifestyle changes and you will likely make a few changes and then jump ship. If your goal is something more significant and is line with a bigger picture component of your life you are more likely to succeed. For instance, my most motivated clients are those that are making changes due to health problems (or pain), or people whose job is to perform in a sport or on the stage, or someone getting ready for a wedding. You don’t have to fall into one of these groups, but set a specific goal for yourself that ties to your health, work, family or your dream. This sort of goal will help you stay motivated and on track. Please remember to state your intention in the present.
Your dominant thoughts, words and deeds should be in line with what you want out of this life. Further, every thought, word and deed carries a vibration. A what? Yeah, everything is vibrating or producing energy (from atoms, to your cells and organs, to thoughts, to colors, to your furniture). That is a story for another post, but the point is that hoping for something to happen leaves open the possibility that it might not happen. Don't hope for things to happen, state things in the positive. For instance, instead of "I hope (or want) to lose 20 pounds”, you would say or write down "I lost 20 pounds”.. Of course, you need to be realistic with these kinds of things, but small changes in how you think, speak and act can have a very powerful impact. Try it.
